The Correspondence Course

The Correspondence Course has been running for a couple of years. Thank you so much for your feedback. I devised the course to give detailed instruction to beginners on how to achieve successful landscapes. I am so pleased that it is working well, giving pleasure to many students.

If you have always wanted to paint, this may be for you. You don’t need to do the whole course. Being divided into 6 modules, it can be as comprehensive or as basic as you wish. You should be able to do the whole course in about 6 days. However, you can take as long as you like, there is no time limit. E-mail annabel@annabelgreenhalgh.com for free course notes and price structure.

  • No pressure. Work at your own pace.
  • Choose the modules you want, or do the whole course.
  • Work in the comfort of your own home.
  • Easy to follow step by step instructions.
  • Have your own personal tutor to help you online.
  • Learn how create paintings from your photographs.

Want to know more about the Wales Coast Path?

In June 2006 the First Minister, Rhodri Morgan announced that the Welsh Assembly Government intended to improve public access to the Welsh coast via a programme based on new and improved coastal paths. A key element of this programme is the provision of a new All Wales Coast Path, which is intended to be completed and opened in 2012.

Visit Wales is meeting with tourism businesses across Wales to provide information on the Wales Coast Path including details on where the main path will go, as well as links and loops to towns and other tourism facilities.

The Pembrokeshire meeting will be on Tuesday 24 March at Pembrokeshire Activity Centre, Cleddau Reach, Pembroke Dock, from 1630 to 1800.

There will also be an opportunity to see the new coast path brand and learn about how it can be incorporated into your marketing.

If you wish to attend one of the sessions, please email ceri.jones4@wales.gsi.gov.uk

Pembrokeshire Business Initiative (PBI) are hosting two events, offering advice on concerns and issues you might have about going self-employed or setting up a part-time business. There events are at the Pater Hall in Pembroke Dock on 26 February, and Picton Centre in Haverfordwest on 4 March. For full details, click here.

PBI are also offering free Business Health Checks, to help you through the challenges of the recession. For details, click here.

04 02 09,

As I write it is snowing outside but do not let that stop you considering Pembrokeshire as a welcome spring break. By the end of this month February  spring will start to arrive at this western most part of the UK where the Atlantic tends to keep us a few degrees warmer.
As the school half term approaches why not take the easy journey down to the county and see what is on offer.  There are miles of un spoilt beaches which will help burn off any winter excesses, quite country pubs and restaurants.  Lovely markets towns such as Narberth where the array of small shops, cafes and pubs is a delight to visit. Theme parks and indoor play areas are dotted around the county. There are several golf clubs including the famous links course at Tenby. Photographers and artists will certainly enjoy the diverse nature  and light which Pembrokeshire can offer. Budding artist may also enjoy taking a course like the one offer by Annable Greenhalgh and featured on the home page of this web site.

Autum is now apon us , with the nights drawing  in, it might be an ideal time to consider a short break to Pembrokeshire. There is still time left to wander along the rugged coast line watching crashing wave, and moody skies. Or take a hike through the country side  the colours are truely magnificent.

The evening in a country pub is always  a joy.  One such inn is the Tafarn Sinc  at Rosebush, there  is always  a warm welcome, good food and woodburning stove all contributing to a very warm welcome.

A little news on the fishing at Llyn Carfan Coarse fishery . Rated as the top carp water in Pembrokeshire.

29.08.07 For the second night in a row  we had reports of over 20 carp being caught. Two Port Talbot anglers on a night session, were delighted with their nights fishing.  Using similar methods of meat and peperrarmi on a hair rig brought remarkable results.  all fish were commons again to around 10 lb.
Graham Kent who is a regular visitor to Llyn Carfan was amazed to catch a 3 lb 2 oz eel out of the bottom lake.

25.08.07
Chris and Ed Two local night anglers, made the most of the nice weather and booked an overnight session at Llyn Carfan. As dusk fell the carp really started to feed resulting in a sleepless night for them both. The 20 odd carp to 10 lbs certainly made up for it. They ledgered  hair rigged pellets during the night and also brought results with floaters the following morning

07.08.07 Now in its second year, Tenby Blues Festival will be taking place on 9th – 11th November and looks set to attract scores of extra visitors to the county.
