Both Lakes are fishing exceptionally well. September has always been a great month to fish, carp are eager to take baits from both the top of the water and will also feed happily at the bottom, the fine weather has also contributed to the number of fish being landed.
I was told this week of one 15 year old   angler who on a trip with his father and grand father landed 25 carp in a single day. His largest was 10.2 oz's and the smallest 5 lb 1 oz . The two adults only managed a further 8 carp between them.

Since my last report where I mentioned that none of our very large carp or grass carp have been caught. Today Kyran reported that on his last visit a couple of weeks ago, he took a 20 lb 6 oz grass carp from the bottom lake. Caught in the  evening using floating crust cast to an area where he had seen large fish cruising just under the water.
The weekend also saw many good catches with an angler  from Liverpool taking a 24 lb common. Having arrived Friday evening and staying in their motor home over the next three days he and his family took numerous carp.
Norman an angler from Pembroke Dock also reported and excellent day on the top lake. He got in amongst the bigger roach and continued to catch all day. he was using a waggler to the middle of the water where there is a reasonable depth. Luncheon meat cubes proved the best bait for the larger roach.

I hope that this web site will be of some use to you in selecting your holiday destination or sourcing products in Pembrokeshire.

best wishes
